This is a detail of the building from yesterday. These huge concrete vessels have never held anything in my lifetime, except my imagination! Were they intended to be for bonfires? Sacrificial altars? Or just planters that were never used? Can you imagine a utility company putting such useless and beautiful details in a structure built today?
